The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will instruct his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease”
— Thomas Edison

What is health, is it just feeling good or eating right?  Chiropractors have long thought it to be much more than that.  The World Health Organization agrees; they define health as “A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”  Chiropractors focus on the function and healing abilities of the body.

Chiropractic care is a natural form of health care that uses spinal adjustments to correct misalignments, called subluxations.  These subluxations can cause pain and stiffness throughout the spine. Neck pain, back pain, headaches, and sciatica are common complaints of spinal subluxations, chiropractic is shown to help with these conditions.  Chiropractic is a non-invasive, non-drug approach to many health problems.

The spinal column surrounds and protects your nervous system.  A subluxation creates pressure or irritates spinal nerves.  This pressure or irritation cause the nerves to malfunction and interferes with signals traveling over those nerves.  How does this affect your health?  Your nervous system controls all the function and healing that occurs in your body.  If you interfere with the signals traveling along spinal nerves, part of your body will not receive the proper nerve messages and will not function at 100% of its ability.  This can cause pain in the neck, back, or other areas of the body and if left untreated can contribute to other health conditions.

Doctors of Chiropractic locate subluxations, and reduce or correct them.   This is done through chiropractic adjustments and specific spinal exercises.  Only Doctors of Chiropractic undergo years of training to locate and correct subluxations.
